Production Process of Wire Rod
Wire rod refers to hot-rolled round steel with a diameter of 5-22mm or shaped steel corresponding to this section. Because it is delivered in coil form, it is also commonly known as a wire rod. The diameter of common wire products is 5-13mm.
According to the different types of rolling mills, it can be divided into two types: high-speed wire rod mill line(high wire rod line) and ordinary wire rod mill line (general wire rod line).
High-speed wire rod line is rolled on a high-speed wire rod mill. The production rhythm is fast and the disk is large (the package yuan is usually the whole, and the maximum disk weight can reach 2500 kg). The packaging is usually tight and beautiful.
High-speed wire rod refers to the wire rod rolled by “high-speed non-twist rolling mill”. Rolling speed is 80-160 m / s, each weight (disc) is 1.8-2.5 tons, and the dimensional tolerance is high (up to 0.02mm). During the rolling process, the process parameters can be adjusted (especially on the cooling line) Above) to guarantee the different requirements of the product.
The ordinary line refers to wire rods that are rolled with “ordinary rolling mills (usually tandem double rolling mills)”. Rolling speed is 20-60 meters/second, each weight (disc) is 0.4-0.6 tons (generally seen in the market are three and six heads as a large disc). During the rolling process, it can only be air-cooled through the cooling line. Or air cooling to ensure product performance. Ordinary lines are rolled with ordinary rolling mills and generally have a smaller disk weight. A package is usually packed by several segments, and the packaging is loose and messy. Ordinary wire tiers have been classified as backward production capacity and will be phased out.
Wire rod is characterized by a small cross-section and large length, which requires high dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
