Walking beam reheating furnace is widely used in mechanized hearth furnace, and is the main type of furnace to replace pusher furnace.
The bottom of the walking beam reheating furnace is basically composed of movable part and fixed part. According to its different structure, there are walking beam type, walking bottom type, walking beam type and bottom combined heating furnace.
Generally, walking beam reheating furnaces are used when the cross-section of the billet is larger than (120 *120) mm2. Walking bottom reheating furnaces are used when the cross-section of the billet is smaller than (100 *100) mm2.
The walking mechanism of walking beam reheating furnace is divided into a walking beam and walking machine.
Walking beams include fixed beams and movable beams, and the crossover technology of walking beams is adopted, that is, four fixed beams are installed at the charging end, five fixed beams are installed at the discharging end, four movable beams are arranged in the furnace through length, and nine beams are arranged in segments and crosswise, which can realize the continuous reversal of the contact position between beams and billets and effectively eliminate the “black mark” phenomenon.
Walking beam machinery is a double-deck frame structure, the upper frame is a translation frame, and the lower frame is a lifting frame. Five groups of 10 wheels are installed at the upper and lower parts of the lifting frame to complete lifting and peaceful movement. There are two groups of eight guide wheels on the translation frame and the lifting frame to prevent deviation. Walking beam machinery is driven by full hydraulic pressure. The translation frame and lifting frame are made of steel beams.
With the movement of the walking frame, the walking beam moves up, forward, down and backward periodically. The shortest design period is 36 seconds.
